Battles and Campaigns of the 121st NY

The 121st NY was organized in Herkimer, NY and was mustered in on August 13th, 1862. They left NY for Washington D.C. on September 2nd, 1862. They were attached to the 2nd Brigade, in the 1st Division of 6th Corps in the Army of the Potomac and the Army of the Shenandoah to June 1865.

The 121st was mustered out on June 25th, 1865 at Halls Hill, VA. Volunteers and recruits were then transferred to the 65th NY Infantry.

During their service, the regiment lost 14 officers and 212 enlisted that had gotten killed or mortally wounded. They had also lost 4 officers and 117 enlisted to disease.
Total loss = 347 men
